Grant Wood Area Education Agency and the University of Iowa Center for Assistive Technology Education & Research Presents:
The 2017 “Building Bridges: Eastern Iowa Assistive Technology Conference” will provide an opportunity to see first-hand the latest in assistive technologies (AT), practices, and services for school-age students with disabilities. This AT conference will serve as a unique opportunity for professionals, parents, administrators and service providers to exchange and gather information on the current status and assistive technology tools available for consideration.

Ellie Hamilton is the AT Specialist and a licensed Special Education Consultant.  She currently provides Assistive Technology support to early childhood, preschool, and district teams in Great Prairie Area Education Agency. She received her B.A. & M.Ed from the University of Northern Iowa. As well as, completing a graduate certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from the University of St. Thomas. She currently serves on the Iowa Department of Education Preschool SDI team and on the Iowa State Assistive Technology Leadership Team. Ellie has presented at local, state, and national conferences. She is passionate about AT, AAC, and inclusion for children who are differently-abled. She lives in southern Iowa with her husband & two sons.
