Grant Wood Area Education Agency and the University of Iowa Center for Assistive Technology Education & Research Presents:
The 2017 “Building Bridges: Eastern Iowa Assistive Technology Conference” will provide an opportunity to see first-hand the latest in assistive technologies (AT), practices, and services for school-age students with disabilities. This AT conference will serve as a unique opportunity for professionals, parents, administrators and service providers to exchange and gather information on the current status and assistive technology tools available for consideration.

Speech-Language Pathologist/Special Education Tech and AT Team Member
Lea Ann Peschong is employed at AEA 267 as a Speech Language Pathologist with a special assignment of Assistive Technology. As an Assistive Technology Team Member, Lea Ann works with IEP teams, 504 teams, educational staff, families, and students with disabilities to address reading, writing, learning and communication needs. She collaborates with AEA technology integrationists and local educational agencies to help integrate technology supports for students in general and special education. Lea Ann has provided multiple training opportunities in the areas of Assistive Technology and also Universal Design for Learning (UDL). She is a member of the statewide Assistive Technology Leadership Group.
