Grant Wood Area Education Agency and the University of Iowa Center for Assistive Technology Education & Research Presents:
The 2017 “Building Bridges: Eastern Iowa Assistive Technology Conference” will provide an opportunity to see first-hand the latest in assistive technologies (AT), practices, and services for school-age students with disabilities. This AT conference will serve as a unique opportunity for professionals, parents, administrators and service providers to exchange and gather information on the current status and assistive technology tools available for consideration.

Accessible Educational Materials Coordinator
Maggie is the Cedar Rapids Community School District Accessible Educational Materials Coordinator. Her area of focus is around Accessibility and Accessible and Assistive Technologies. Maggie previously served as Program Consultant for the Iowa Department of Education and the AIM/AEM Coordinator for the state of Iowa. She attended the University of Northern Iowa where she received her BA and MA in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Speech-Language Pathology. She worked for a number of years as a SLP and AT Consultant with Grant Wood AEA. She previously coordinated the Advisory Council on Accessible and Assistive Technologies and the Assistive Technology Leadership Team and participated in the State Personnel Development grant to support the implementation of Iowa Specially Designed Instruction Framework.
